Day 01: Colombo (Katunayake) Airport- Dambulla

  • Meals: Dinner
  • Welcome to Sri Lanka!
  • Arrive at Colombo International Airport, you will be met by a designated guide. After the formalities at the airport, you will be escorted to your
    air-conditioned vehicle and then transferred to Dambulla.
  • Visit *Dambulla Cave Temple – which is in the North Central Province. This UNESCO World Heritage Site which dates to the 01st century BC,
    is an amazing complex of 05 caves, first used as a refuge by an ancient king who on regaining his throne, commissioned magnificent carved
    images within the living rock. Later kings made further improvements and the caves contain over 150 images of the Buddha of which the
    largest is a colossal figure spanning 15 meters. (Entrance fees included)

Day 02: Dambulla - Polonnaruwa- Minneriya

  • Meals: Breakfast & Dinner
  • Breakfast at Hotel Proceed to sightseeing *Polonnaruwa, which was the 2nd capital city of Sri Lanka, built in the 11th and 12th centuries AD, and which is a world heritage site. Here you can see the ruins of the Royal Palace, the Gal Viharaya –where 4 splendid statues of the Buddha in ‘Upright’, Sedentary`’ and ‘Recumbent’ postures carved out of rock, the Audience Hall, the Lotus Bath, king Parakramabahu’s statue, and the Parakrama Samudraya lake built by King Parakramabahu the great. 
  • There are also monuments of famous places of worship such as the Shiva Temple, the Lankathilake, the Watadage, the Galpotha, the Kiri Vehera and the remains of a former Temple of the Tooth Relic. (Entrance fees included)
  • Later In the evening Safari in Minneriya National Park, is a national park in North Central Province of Sri Lanka. The area was designated as a national park on 12 August 1997, having been originally declared as a wildlife sanctuary in 1938.[1] The reason for declaring the area as protected is to protect the catchment of the Minneriya tank and the wildlife of the surrounding area. 
  • The tank is of historical importance, having been built by King Mahasen in the third century AD. The park is a dry-season feeding ground for the elephant population dwelling in the forests of Matale. (National Park entrance fees and safari jeep cost included.)

Day 03: Dambulla - Sigiriya - Kandy

  • After a scrumptious breakfast proceed to Sigiriya
  • *Sigiriya is a “UNESCO World Heritage Site” and the 5th Century “Fortress in the Sky” which is perhaps the most fantastic single wonder of the
    Island. It is also known as Lion Rock because of the huge lion that used to stand at the entrance to the Palace on the summit of the 600-foothigh rock. On its summit are the foundations of the Royal Palace, Water Tanks to supply water and all other buildings and at the edges the
    guardhouses. On one of the stairways, the only known ancient work of Sinhala secular painting survived in the form of Frescoes of 21 life
    sized damsels still shining in their original colours. The Water Gardens, Fountain Gardens, Summerhouses, Boulder Gardens, and the Caves
    within the enclosed area should not be missed. (Entrance fees included)
  • En-route, *Spice Garden in Matale to see the different spices, which Sri Lanka is famous for. You will be introduced to different spices and
    shown how some of these spices are grown and processed.
  • Evening visit *Royal Botanical Gardens, Peradeniya – This majestic botanical garden is 147 acres in extent and was started in 1374 as a
    pleasure garden of the Kings of Gampola and Kandy. There are more than 5,000 species of trees, plants and creepers. Some which are rare
    and endemic, as well as flora from the tropical world, are found in the gardens. The Spice Garden and Orchid House are popular with tourists.
    There are 5 Palm Avenues beautifying the gardens. The earliest and tallest, Royal Palm Avenue, was planted in 1905 and the Double
    Coconuts from the Seashells Island, with the largest seed of all plants in the world, is one such avenue. (Entrance fees included)
  • Visit the Temple of the Tooth Relic which was once a resplendent royal palace. The palace now houses one of the most sacred tooth relics of
    the Buddha and is considered one of the most symbolic icons of the Buddhist heritage of Sri Lanka. Sightseeing in *Kandy, including Upper
    Lake Drive, Market Crafts Centre, Gem Museum. Kandy the hill capital, venue of the annual Perahera The last stronghold of the Sinhala Kings
    was finally ceded to the British in 1815. (Entrance fees included.
  • Later in at1700hrs enjoy the Cultural Show (Traditional Dances)

Day 04: Kandy - Ella

  • Meals: Breakfast & Dinner
  • 0730hrs after a scrumptious breakfast checkout from the hotel proceed to Kandy station. Get on board for the scenic train ride to Ella which
    leaves at 0846hrs.
  • The train ride to Ella is a spectacular journey that takes passengers through the breathtaking scenery of Sri Lanka’s hill country. The journey
    starts from Kandy and takes approximately 6 hours to reach Ella, covering 118 kilometers. The train travels through lush green tea plantations,
    misty hills, and cascading waterfalls, providing passengers with stunning views of the surrounding landscape. The journey is considered one of
    the most scenic train rides in the world, and passengers can enjoy the views from the comfort of their seats or by standing on the open doors
    of the train. The train ride to Ella is a must-do experience for anyone visiting Sri Lanka.
  • Note: Train tickets are issued only 30 days prior to the travel date and seats are subject to availability.
  • Upon your arrival in Ella around 1530hrs, you will be picked up by the driver and transferred to the hotel.

Day 05: Ella City Tour

  • After breakfast explore the Ella by visiting Nine Arches bride.
  • The Nine Arches Bridge is an iconic landmark located in the hill country of Sri Lanka, near the town of Ella. The bridge spans a deep ravine
    and is considered an engineering marvel, as it was built entirely of bricks and cement in 1921, without any steel or metal. The bridge features
    nine arches and is over 300 feet in length. It is surrounded by lush greenery, providing a picturesque setting for photographs. Visitors can walk
    along the railway tracks or take a train ride over the bridge, enjoying the stunning views of the surrounding hills and valleys. The Nine Arches
    Bridge is a must-visit destination for anyone visiting Ella.
  • Evening explore Ella rock and witness the breathtaking views of sunset.
  • Little Adam’s Peak is a popular hiking destination located in Ella, Sri Lanka. The peak stands at 1,141 meters (3,744 feet) and offers stunning
    views of the surrounding hills and valleys. The hike to the top of the peak is relatively easy, taking approximately 30-40 minutes, and is suitable
    for all fitness levels. The trail winds through lush green tea plantations, cascading waterfalls, and rocky terrain before reaching the summit. At
    the top, visitors can enjoy panoramic views of the surrounding landscape and take photographs against the stunning backdrop. Little Adam’s
    Peak is a must-visit destination for hikers and nature lovers visiting Ella.

Day 06: Ella - Galle - Hikkaduwa

  • Meals: Breakfast & Dinner
  • After a scrumptious breakfast checkout from the hotel proceed to Bentota via Southern expressway.
  • Have a quick stop at *Ravana Ella Falls to admire its natural beauty.
  • En route visit the Galle Fort that is in a historic coastal city of the southwestern part of Sri Lanka. The city is famous for its well-preserved
    Dutch colonial architecture, which is evident in its fortifications, buildings, and narrow streets. The old town of Galle is a UNESCO World
    Heritage Site and is home to various cultural attractions, such as the Galle Fort, the Dutch Reformed Church, and the Maritime Museum. Galle
    is also known for its stunning beaches, such as Unawatuna and Mirissa, where visitors can indulge in various water activities like swimming,
    snorkeling, and surfing. The city is a must-visit destination for those interested in Sri Lanka’s rich history, culture, and natural beauty.
