Day 1

  • Arrival at Bandaranaike International Airport, Meeting and Assistance, Transfer to Colombo.
    Check in to the hotel and relax.

Day 2

  • Breakfast at hotel and check out.
  • Proceed to Sigiriya.
  • Visit Pinnawala Elephant Orphanage. The iconic Pinnawala Elephant Orphanage, established in 1975, serves as a haven for orphaned and injured elephants. Visitors can witness the heartwarming sight of these gentle giants as they frolic in the river, socialize in the expansive grounds, and partake in daily bathing rituals. The orphanage plays a crucial role in the rehabilitation and preservation of Sri Lanka’s elephant population.

Day 3

  • Breakfast at hotel.
  • Climb Sigiriya Lion Rock. Sigiriya Rock, also known as the Lion Rock, challenges visitors with a steep ascent that winds through well-preserved frescoes and a colossal pair of lion’s paws carved into the rock. The climb, while adventurous, promises breathtaking panoramic views of the surrounding landscapes as one reaches the summit.
  • Sigiriya Village Tour. Get invited to a villager’s home and experience the village life. Embrace the warm hospitality as you enjoy a home-cooked meal with a tropical drink. Sigiriya Boat Ride and Bullock Cart Ride are some of the highlights of the village tour. 
  • Safari at Minneriya National Park. Though this national park is most famous for elephants, a diversity of wildlife lives here including spotted deer, purple-faced langur monkeys, etc.
  • Dinner & accommodation; Accommodation at Sigiriya Hotel.

Day 4

  • Breakfast at hotel & transfer to Kandy via Matale.
  • Sightseeing at Dambulla Rock Cave Temple. Carved into the rock face, the cave complex comprises five sanctuaries adorned with a mesmerizing array of over 150 Buddha statues, ancient murals, and intricately carved sculptures. The vivid colors, spiritual ambiance, and historical richness make this site a cultural gem.
  • Visit to Spice Garden, Matale. Matale is renowned for its spice gardens, where visitors can explore and learn about the cultivation of various spices such as cloves, cinnamon, and cardamom. These spice gardens offer educational tours, providing insights into the cultivation methods and medicinal properties of different spices.
  • Kandy City Tour and Shopping Session. Enjoy the Kandy city tour including lake round, viewpoint, market and gem gallery and shopping session.
  • Witness the Kandyan Cultural Dance Show. Kandy comes alive with traditional cultural performances, including captivating Kandyan dance and drumming ceremonies. These vibrant displays, adorned with colorful costumes and rhythmic beats, showcase the island’s rich cultural heritage.

Day 5

  • Breakfast at hotel & transfer to Kandy via Matale.

Day 6

  • Breakfast at hotel.
  • Witness Turtle Hatchery. Conservation takes center stage at Bentota’s turtle hatcheries, where visitors can witness the efforts to protect and rehabilitate endangered sea turtles. The hatcheries contribute to the preservation of these majestic creatures, all owing for a unique and educational experience.
  • Sightseeing at Maadu River. The water of the river is dotted with small islands and the banks are all covered with lush mangrove forests that are home to dozens of incredible animal species. Enjoy hundreds of vibrant tropical birds and a few crocodiles if you’re lucky enough. These creatures are pretty rare and don’t like crowds.
  • Free at leisure at beach/Water Sports. Bentota’s reputation as a water sports hub is well-deserved. From jet skiing and windsurfing to banana boat rides and wakeboarding, the coastline offers a plethora of exhilarating activities for adventure enthusiasts.

Day 7

  • Breakfast at hotel & Transfer to Airport via Colombo
  • Colombo City Tour & Shopping if time permits. Colombo, the bustling metropolis and commercial heartbeat of Sri Lanka, unfolds as a vibrant mosaic of contrasts where modernity meets tradition, and historical landmarks coexist with contemporary energy. As the country’s capital and largest city, Colombo serves as a gateway to the island’s diverse experiences, offering a lively urban landscape, cultural richness, and a thriving melting pot of flavors. Independence Memorial Hall, Viharamahadevi Park, Colombo Museum are some of the highlights of Colombo. Boasting a magnanimous outlook and an epic architectural design, the Red Mosque is one of the most prominent places of worship in Colombo. Also known by the name Jami-Ul-Alfar Mosque it is also regarded as one of the oldest mosques in Colombo and has now become a renowned tourist site in the metropolis. The mosque was built in the year of 1909 by a local Muslim community in order to have an establishment to fulfill prayers which should be followed five times a day and Jummah on Fridays.
